My due date is May23rd of 2007. My unborn baby has a diaphragmatic hernia. His liver,stomach,intestines, are up in his chest preventing his lungs from developing. My son has a 50/50 chance of living, even with the surgery. He needs all the financial help he can get in order to give him a fighting chance, in battling the surgery.If my son does make it through surgery he will have to be in an intensive care until for several months. I live in southern IL, and we have to travel to Philadelphia, were he will be delivard and took care of. Philadelphia has been ranked the #1 childrens hospital in the world for the last 7 years. The best surgeon in the world, for children will be doing his surgery. While we have our house and bills here in southern il, and having to move to philadelphia for who knows how long, plus my sons medical bills, is putting alot of financial stress on us. We really need all the help we can get. I'm only 22 years old,and with my family not being around or supportive, all we have is my husbands family, and they are poor like everyone else. They are trying there best to help us, but like everyone, there isn't enough to go around.
